FAQs

1. What is the difference between your two collections?

The Compact Front Dash Cams collection focuses on front-facing camera layouts in a choice of body styles. The Multi-View Dash Cams collection brings together front-and-rear, front-and-cabin, and three-channel layouts. Start with the views you want to record, then compare the individual models.

2. What is the difference between front-and-rear and front-and-cabin recording?

Front-and-rear layouts cover the road ahead and the view behind the vehicle. Front-and-cabin layouts cover the road ahead and the vehicle interior. A cabin-facing lens is not a substitute for a separate rear camera. Check the camera layout before choosing your kit.

3. Does every Multi-View model include a separate rear camera?

No. Multi-View describes several camera layouts. A front-and-cabin model has a different setup from a front-and-rear kit. Check the product description and box contents to confirm whether a separate rear camera is included.

4. Does a three-channel dash cam provide full 360-degree coverage?

No. A front, cabin and rear layout provides three separate views. There can still be gaps between those views, so three-channel recording should not be treated as complete 360-degree coverage.

5. How do I choose between a screen and a screen-free design?

A screen can be useful for checking framing and supported settings on the camera itself. A screen-free body offers a more understated appearance. Before choosing a screen-free model, check how its controls, setup and footage access work; do not assume that every model uses the same app.

6. Do all cameras record at the same resolution?

No single resolution should be assumed across the range. Review the specifications for each recording channel, including the front, cabin and rear views where applicable. Also check the resolution and frame rate available when multiple channels record together.

7. Will a dash cam fit my vehicle?

Fit depends on the vehicle and the model you choose. Compare the camera dimensions, mounting method, power requirements and cable lengths with your vehicle layout. Leave room around mirrors and built-in sensors, and choose a position that keeps your driving view clear.

8. Can I install the camera myself?

Review the model's installation instructions before deciding. Check the mounting surface, camera position and cable route first. If installation involves vehicle wiring or you are unsure about the fit, get help from a qualified installer. Complete setup while safely parked.

9. Can I use any USB cable or vehicle adapter?

Use the power cable and adapter specified for the model. A connector that physically fits does not confirm electrical compatibility. Check the required input rating and approved accessories in the product instructions before using a replacement cable or power source.

10. Does wireless connectivity mean the camera works without a power cable?

No. Wireless connectivity and power are separate features. Wi-Fi support does not mean battery-powered recording. Check the model's power requirements and plan the required cable connection rather than assuming the camera can record independently.

11. Will the camera keep recording when I turn off the engine?

Do not assume that it will. Recording after the engine is switched off depends on the model, supported recording modes and power setup. Only rely on parking recording when it is explicitly confirmed for that model and installed according to its instructions. A hardwire kit alone does not establish compatibility.

12. Can I mount a rear camera outside the vehicle?

Do not treat an interior rear-window camera as an exterior camera. Use it outside only if the specific model is expressly rated and approved for that installation. Check the product page and mounting instructions before positioning the rear unit.

13. Is a memory card included?

Check the box contents on the product page for your chosen configuration. The listing should identify whether a card is included and its capacity. Do not assume that a card shown in a general collection image is included with every model.

14. Which memory card should I use?

Use the card type, capacity and speed specification approved for the model. Check the product instructions before buying a replacement or larger card. A camera's maximum supported capacity cannot be determined from the size of its card slot or the capacity of a card supplied with another model.

15. How many hours of footage can a memory card hold?

Recording time varies with card capacity, video settings, bitrate and the number of active recording channels. There is no single recording-time figure that applies to every model. Check any model-specific estimates and the settings used to calculate them.

16. What does loop recording do?

Where supported and enabled, loop recording manages routine recordings by replacing older, unprotected footage as storage fills. Important footage should be saved separately. Check the model's instructions for how normal recordings and protected files are managed.

17. How do I keep an important clip?

Follow the model's instructions for saving or protecting the clip, then make a separate copy using a supported transfer method. Do not rely on event locking as a permanent backup. Make sure your copy opens correctly before deleting files or formatting the card.

18. Can the camera record sound?

Audio recording and microphone controls are model-specific. Check the product specifications and instructions to confirm whether audio is supported and how it can be enabled or disabled. Review applicable audio-recording requirements before using this feature.

19. Can I connect the camera to my phone?

Check the product page for confirmed Wi-Fi support, the compatible app and supported phone requirements. Local Wi-Fi, where available, is different from remote internet access. It should not be assumed to provide live viewing from another location. Use setup and transfer functions while safely parked.

20. Are GPS, cloud storage or remote viewing included?

These features should be treated as separate capabilities, not standard features across the range. Only expect them when they are expressly listed for the specific model. Check any accessory, connectivity, account or subscription requirements before ordering.

21. Will the camera always capture readable license plates at night?

No camera should be expected to capture every plate clearly in every situation. Lighting, reflections, vehicle movement, distance and camera settings can affect visibility. Review model-specific information without treating a resolution figure or promotional image as a guarantee of plate readability.

22. What should I check before my first drive?

While safely parked, follow the product instructions to check the mount, lens position, power connection, memory card and recording settings. Confirm the date and time where supported, and review a short test recording using the model's supported playback method before relying on the setup.

23. What comes in the box?

Use the box-contents list for your selected model as your reference. Camera units, mounts, cables, adapters and memory cards can differ between configurations. Check the exact kit contents before buying additional accessories or assuming that items from another model are included.

24. What if I am unsure which model to choose?

Start with the views you need: front only, front and rear, front and cabin, or all three. Then compare the model's dimensions, mounting method, power setup and included accessories. If you still have a question, use our Contact page and include the model name and the detail you want to confirm.
